Articling Program

TMS’s articling program fully exposes a student to all facets of the firm. A student’s articling experience includes file and practice management, meeting clients, planning and conducting matters for court, fact and problem analysis, developing research and writing skills, as well as drafting agreements and courtroom advocacy.

The student benefits from a meaningful and rewarding articling experience by being presented with problems to identify and solve while also participating in the implementation of the solutions to see the results of his or her efforts. The firm provides considerable responsibilities and challenges throughout the articling program including opportunities to carry their own on files through a series of stages and to have significant direct client contact.

Quotes of previous articling students:

“Articling at Thompson, MacColl & Stacy LLP was an enriching aspect of my legal career. I was able to gain full hands-on experience in different legal fields, with the benefit of knowledgeable mentors and colleagues and a good support team.” – Jenny Pho, Articling Student 2005-2006
